Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a well-known American after winning American Idol's first season. The victory not only propelled her into the limelight however, it also secured her a multi-album record deal in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings and S Records. In the years since her debut, she released numerous albums. Of those albums three were ranked first on the US Billboard 200. The others were near the top. She is considered one of greatest success American Idol artists. As she achieved success she explored a variety of genres and themes, frequently singing with her partner in line to her own personal experiences. To acknowledge her talents and individuality, she has been rewarded with a variety of accolades as well as awards. The Grammy Award is her most famous award. Alongside her career in music, she has appeared in films as well as television programs. In addition, she is the author of the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved in numerous charitable organizations.
